Next Generation Sequencing

(NGS)

A high-throughput, parallel sequencing technology used to rapidly determine the order of nucleotides in entire genomes or targeted regions of DNA or RNA.

Technology Platform: Oxford Nanopore Sequencing (New-generation molecular sensing technology offering short to ultra-long native DNA and RNA reads)

Samples: Raw samples (Blood, Tissue, Buccal swab, Sputum, Stool), DNA, RNA and Library Preparation

For DNA & RNA sample submission, the following QC requirements are applicable:

Services

Assay
Application

Whole Genomes Sequencing
(Small to Medium sized)
Whole genome sequencing, sequencing strategy dependent of the genomics size

16S rRNA Microbiome
16S rRNA amplicon sequencing to identify bacteria in mixed sample

18S ITS Microbiome
18S ITS amplicon sequencing to identify fungi in mixed samples

Shotgun Metagenomics
Comprehensively sample all genes in all organisms present in a given complex sample

Whole Exome Sequencing
Sequencing the protein-encoding regions of the human genome

Whole Transcriptome Sequencing
Analysing the entire transcriptome including the coding and noncoding RNAs

Whole Human Genome Sequencing
Sequencing the entire genome of an organism at a specified coverage (10 – 30x)

Library Sequencing
Basic sequencing only

Cancer panels
Amplicon sequencing; existing panels or custom design panels; or panels compatible with ONT Technology
